  5.             About Robotech HeadQuarters V1.83
  6. -------------------------------------------------------------------------
  7.     HeadQuarters is the ultimate replacement for the old
  8.     MechForce and BattleForce games. It has been designed
  9.     to extend these games and bring more playability into
  10.     them. The work has started in late 1990 with some small
  11.     support programs which has been put together to a single
  12.     HeadQuarters program in 1991. Since then HeadQuarters has
  13.     grow considerably to a most useful program for the
  14.     MechForce and BattleTech games.
  15. -------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16.     The MechForce program in this archive, which is freely
  17.     distributable, is currently being used to play deadly
  18.     combats against other (computer-)units. It can be
  19.     replaced against the BattleForce program if someone
  20.     finds this much more appropriate.
  21.     All the mechs coming with this archive have been designed
  22.     with HeadQuarters and are not fully downward compatible.
  23.     All the extended mech types can not be used within the old
  24.     support programs that belong to the MechForce or BattleForce
  25.     package. If you are using HeadQuarters you will not need
  26.     most of them.

  28.     This software has been designed to work perfectly on a hard
  29.     drive. It can be installed by simply copying all the files and
  30.     directories somewhere on your Hard Drive.

  32.     Modification done to MechForce since last realease:

  34.     MF will now open a NTSC Screen on PAL systems under V2.xx..
  35.     MF configuration files have been moved to same dir where MF
  36.     is located. SND have been renamed to Sounds.
  37.     Power Engine sizes have been extended from 400 to maximal 600.
  38.     Base Move caclulation that caused MF to generate a divide by zero
  39.     (Base Move was 0) fixed.
  40.     A bug in IMessage causes IAddress to contain sometimes the mouse
  41.     position rather than the real IAddress, this is now fixed.
  42.     The current version of MechForce should now run on Amiga 500+
  43.     and other machines.
